About the LGBT Scene in Spokane

Spokane's queer scene is small and centered downtown. The best-known gay bar is The Blind Buck, an add-on to the Globe Bar & Kitchen, with drag shows, go-go dancers and weekly karaoke. The Globe next door hosts a drag brunch on Sundays.

nYne Bar & Bistro is the place to dance, with a club atmosphere, cocktails and regular theme nights such as Wicked Wednesdays, drag shows and Thursday trivia. The Pin is an all-ages music venue with a long history of drag, including drag king nights and a monthly amateur drag night. JR's Bar-N-Grill also hosts drag events.

Several mixed venues are popular with queer locals too. Garland Drinkery offers karaoke, drag bingo, open-mic comedy and a patio, often with food trucks outside. Berserk is an alternative bar with emo nights, LGBTQ+ nights and drag. The Tiny Tiki, Andy's Bar & Grill and Baby Bar are also known as welcoming spots.

For young people aged 13 to 24, Odyssey Youth Movement in the Perry District offers drop-in hours, a community closet with gender-affirming clothing and resources for parents and guardians.

OutSpokane organizes the city's Pride celebrations, with a parade and the Rainbow Festival in Riverfront Park. The festival includes booths, performances, a teen zone and a family area, followed by an all-ages dance party and fireworks.
