Ritter Butzke is one of Berlin's defining techno and house clubs. Set in a former factory hall in Kreuzberg near Ritterstraße, it spreads across several floors dedicated to different sounds, plus an outdoor courtyard open during the summer months. The site later grew to include the Aqua-Höfe, an additional courtyard and event area with a restaurant that also hosts readings and other cultural formats.
The crowd is mixed and international, and the door policy is comparatively relaxed next to other Berlin institutions. Weekend parties regularly sell out, while smaller events and concerts fill the calendar on weekdays.
