Aqua-Höfe (Ritter Butzke / Kreuzwerk / Modus)

The Aqua-Höfe in Kreuzberg occupy a former factory site from the late nineteenth century, named after the Aqua-Butzke-Werke that once made plumbing fittings there. Once industrial use ended, the brick courtyard complex and its old work halls turned into one of Kreuzberg's best-known nightlife addresses: Ritter Butzke and Kreuzwerk share the grounds, alongside the club Modus with its own line-up of techno, tech-house and live concerts. Beyond nightlife, the complex's eleven event spaces host trade fairs, weddings, film shoots and corporate events, with the raw brick and tall halls giving each format its own character. Anyone moving between the courtyards on a weekend can experience several clubs and styles in one night without ever leaving the site.
