The Aqua-Höfe in Berlin-Kreuzberg form a historic courtyard complex around Moritzplatz and Ritterstraße, built on the site of a former fittings factory. The brick former workshop halls now house a mix of offices, studios, a dance school, a gym, recording studios and creative businesses — alongside a world-renowned club that anchors the site firmly in Berlin's nightlife. Over the years, the club has spun off further formats, including a restaurant as well as readings and cultural events, which fill the whole courtyard complex with life. By day, workshop noise and coffee breaks from the resident creative businesses set the tone; by night, the club crowd takes over. This mix of everyday working life and nightlife makes the Aqua-Höfe one of the few places in Kreuzberg where courtyard-complex character and club culture meet under one roof.
