Las Vegas - Guide for Gays, Lesbians and Queers

The main point of contact for LGBTQ+ people in Las Vegas is the LGBTQ+ Center of Southern Nevada, known simply as The Center, on S. Maryland Parkway in Downtown. It describes itself as a safe haven for the whole community and offers HIV-related support, help with addiction and recovery, and programs for trans people. Much of its work relies on volunteers, and it is a good first stop for anyone new in town or looking for advice.

Queer bars are spread across several parts of the valley. In the Fruit Loop on Paradise Road, east of the Strip, the dance club Piranha, the drag club Gipsy and the video bar QUADZ sit close together. On East Twain Avenue you will find the leather bar Fun Hog Ranch with the Flex Cocktail Lounge right next door. Badlands on East Sahara Avenue is a country-themed bar, while The Phoenix Bar & Lounge on West Sahara Avenue is a locally owned spot known for karaoke and drag. The Garage on East Flamingo Road is a quieter bar with food and a pool table.

For men there is Entourage Vegas, a bathhouse in the Commercial Center on East Sahara Avenue. It is gay owned and has a pool, a hot tub, a steam room, a dry sauna, a gym area and private rooms. Entourage grew out of the former Apollo Spa and calls itself the only men-only spa in the city.

The Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE is active all year. Besides the parade and festival in October, it runs bingo nights, group hikes, community mixers and Las Vegas Latin PRIDE for the Latino community. If you want to meet people outside the bar scene, the association and The Center are both easy ways in.
