Almost every queer address in Key West sits inside the Pink Triangle, the stretch of Duval Street between the 700 and 900 blocks. Two minutes on foot takes you from one bar to the next.

Aqua runs several drag shows a night, plus live singing in the early evening on some weekdays. A few doors down, 801 Bourbon Bar is home to the 801 Girls, whose cabaret plays twice nightly, every night of the year. Next door, Bourbon Street Pub spreads five bars across two floors, with a men only, clothing optional garden bar out back that has a pool and a jacuzzi.

New Orleans House is the guesthouse above the pub, which makes it the obvious choice for anyone who wants a short walk home. Island House, a few streets away, is a men only resort with a pool, a gym and a cafe.

Daytime spreads the crowd out. Croissants de France on Duval Street is where the scene has breakfast, while La Te Da at the southern end of the same street combines the Crystal Room cabaret with a garden bar and a roof terrace. Its Sunday afternoon tea dance by the pool is free.

For swimming, most people head to the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park or to Higgs Beach, both within cycling distance of the centre. Many businesses on the island are queer owned and refer to the One Human Family motto, which the city keeps as an official statement of principle.
