Right next to Dammtor station on Hamburg's Alsterglacis, the vaulted halls of Kasematte 20 sit inside a former fortification. Today the space works as an event venue for corporate parties, galas, private celebrations and concerts, its arched cellar rooms giving every event an unusual backdrop.
During Hamburg Pride Week, Kasematte 20 regularly becomes a central meeting point for the queer community. The venue has hosted the Pride main event alongside parties built specifically around queer and trans artists. The mix of historic stonework and modern event technology keeps it in demand well beyond Pride season.
