Sitting right at one of the city's busiest junctions, close to the lake, the opera house and the train station, this club is a laid-back meeting point for a mixed crowd of locals and night owls. During the week the space doubles as a venue for concerts, comedy and cultural events; at weekends electronic music takes over with no dress code in sight.
Once a month the club becomes the stage for a well-known queer party series built around messages of unconditional love, diversity and a glittery, joyful atmosphere, aimed squarely at an open-minded, colourful crowd. Around the city's Pride weekend it also regularly hosts an official afterparty, with DJs playing well into the night.
That combination — general-purpose event venue by day, reliable monthly fixture on the queer party calendar by night — gives the place an easygoing, unpretentious character without pretending to be an exclusive scene spot.
