Hanseatische Materialverwaltung

The Hanseatische Materialverwaltung is a non-profit props and materials repository in Hamburg that rescues high-quality items from film productions, theater shows, and events that would otherwise end up in landfills. The organization collects and stores these materials in a central warehouse, making them accessible to Hamburg's creative community.

Artists, theater groups, schools, universities, and cultural institutions can purchase or rent from the extensive inventory, which includes set pieces, exhibition stands, and other creative materials. Beyond serving as a resource hub, the venue functions as a cultural space hosting seasonal events such as a spring festival featuring live music and DJ performances, as well as a traditional winter bazaar. This initiative promotes sustainability while supporting the local creative economy and contributing to the development of the Oberhafen creative quarter.
