Regenbogenfamilienzentrum Lichtenberg

The Regenbogenfamilienzentrum Lichtenberg in Berlin serves as a vital hub for queer families and prospective parents, providing a safe space for connection, counseling, and exchange. It supports lesbian, gay, bi+, pan, trans*, inter*, non-binary, and queer individuals with a desire for children, along with their families in single, two, and multi-parent configurations.

The atmosphere is welcoming and protective, fostering empowerment away from prejudice. Offerings include individual consultations on family planning and parenthood, group gatherings such as crawling and baby meetups for children up to 24 months, play afternoons for kids up to six years, rainbow family brunches, and outdoor activities. Specialized sessions address topics like solo parenting, bi+ and pan parents, or non-biological caregivers.

Complementing family programs are free educational events, awareness workshops, and training for professionals on sexual and gender diversity and varied family structures. As a network collaborator locally and nationwide, the center promotes inclusion and diversity in policy and society.
