Zaragoza - Guide for Gays, Lesbians and Queers

Zaragoza's queer scene is small but real, concentrated in a handful of established spots, mostly in the historic El Tubo district. There you'll find El Plata, a cabaret with a drag and travesti tradition dating back almost a century, known for its drag and karaoke nights in a historic setting.

Urano functions as the city's main gay bar-club. Women 2.0, in the Doctor Cerrada neighbourhood, caters mainly to a lesbian crowd but welcomes a mixed audience and also runs drag nights. Iman Pub rounds out the offering, open Thursday through Saturday with a young, casual crowd.

For wellness and a discreet setting, there's Sauna Nordik, the city's only gay sauna, with steam rooms and private areas.

Don't expect the range of Madrid or Barcelona — but Zaragoza offers a small, active network of established, walkable venues in the historic centre instead.

Spain introduced same-sex marriage early on, among the first countries in the world to do so, and has since been considered one of Europe's most LGBTQ+-friendly nations. Zaragoza, the regional capital of Aragón, benefits from that social climate even though its scene stays smaller than Madrid's or Barcelona's. Planning ahead around these specific dates and addresses works better than expecting a spontaneous scene.
