Volksgarten Pavillon stands in the middle of Vienna's Volksgarten, the rose garden near the Burgring, and is a small architectural gem from the post-war era. By day it works as a quiet garden café with a terrace by a small stream, where visitors linger over coffee or lunch among the rose beds. Once the sun goes down, the pavilion turns into one of the city's liveliest nightspots.
A regular fixture is the weekly club night known as Techno Café. For Vienna's queer scene, the pavilion has long hosted the established party series "Männer im Garten", which regularly draws a mixed queer crowd. That does not make the pavilion a dedicated queer venue, but it is a reliable host for one of the city's best-known queer party series.
