For something more traditional, head to Dempseys, the city's longest-running LGBTQ+ bar for over two decades, open until the early morning. Rainbow & Dove suits a quieter drink and a bit more chat, while Bridge Bar and Bar 120, both right on West Street, are good for lingering and work fine for a daytime coffee too.
For wellness and more, The Boiler Room is Sheffield's only gay sauna for men, with a steam room, hot tub, and several cabins, about a ten-minute walk from the city centre. Friday nights with extended opening hours are especially popular there, with quieter days in between.
In Broomhill, Two Brewers combines live music with pool tables, a contrast to the buzzing city centre. Sheffield's gay venues share this mix of tradition and proximity, with most spots within easy walking distance of one another and no need for a taxi or long detours between them.
