The Big Buddha, officially known as Wat Phra Yai, is one of Pattaya's most iconic landmarks in Thailand. Perched atop Pratumnak Hill, a 18-meter-tall golden Buddha statue stands as a symbol of peace and protection. The temple offers a serene, spiritual atmosphere perfect for reflection and prayer. Visitors can admire the magnificent statue up close, surrounded by smaller Buddha figures representing each day of the week. From the temple grounds, panoramic views of Pattaya Bay and Jomtien Beach unfold. Entry is free, with optional donations. The site is especially pleasant to visit early in the morning or just before sunset, as shade is limited during the day.
