About New World Center
- Other
The New World Center in Miami Beach stands as Frank Gehry's architectural triumph, home to the New World Symphony. Its striking white exterior features an 80-foot-high glass curtain wall that reveals a sunlit atrium filled with cascading geometric forms housing rehearsal rooms, classrooms, and offices. The atmosphere blends sleek modernity with warmth, boasting polished concrete floors, blue banquettes, and an illuminated bar beneath a flowing titanium canopy.
At its core lies a versatile 756-seat concert hall encircled by acoustic 'sails' that reflect sound and double as projection screens for multimedia performances. Audiences immerse in symphony blended with stunning visuals. Next door, Miami Beach SoundScape Park extends the experience with free outdoor projections on a massive wall. This venue redefines classical music through innovation, flexible spaces, and cutting-edge technology, anchoring cultural vibrancy in South Beach.
