The checkpoint offers guidance on safer sex practices, leisure activities, and support for various community concerns including violence prevention and health education. Staffed by dedicated volunteers, the center sells condoms, lubricants, and exclusive accessories at affordable prices, with profits supporting prevention work. Hein & Fiete also hosts professional events, self-help groups, and regularly offers pre-sale tickets to major community events. With around 80 volunteers and 5 full-time staff members deeply connected to the local LGBTQ+ scene, the organization is committed to promoting health, well-being, and equality.
