About Kino Freiburg
- Event Location
Freiburg's cinema scene offers diverse options for film enthusiasts of all tastes. CinemaxX Freiburg, located in the historic old town, features modern technology, nine screens with 2D and 3D capabilities, and premium seating options including electrically adjustable LUX seats with tables and personal storage compartments. Harmonie Cinema distinguishes itself with six intimate halls dedicated to art-house cinema, showcasing European productions and socially conscious films primarily in original language with German subtitles. The cinema is famous for its iconic couple seats without armrests between them. Friedrichsbau and the smaller Kandelhof cinema round out the offering with independent programming. A unique seasonal highlight is the open-air summer night cinema under the stars. Families benefit from affordable children's screenings at Friedrichsbau on weekend afternoons. Together, these venues provide comprehensive cinema experiences catering to mainstream and alternative film preferences.
