Nahal serves as a dedicated counseling center in Frankfurt am Main for lesbian and bisexual migrant and refugee women. Integrated within the German-Iranian Counseling Center for Women and Girls e.V., it provides a safe haven particularly for Persian-speaking women from Iran and Afghanistan navigating challenges related to their sexual orientation.
The atmosphere is welcoming and confidential, featuring accessible entryways and regular open café meetups that foster intergenerational connections. Participants relax, share stories, and build supportive networks in a relaxed setting. Services include one-on-one counseling on identity, relationships, legal issues like illegalization, violence, racism, and psychosocial concerns. Key highlights encompass culturally sensitive approaches and partnerships with the Lesbian Information and Counseling Center, extending support to trans* women and girls.
Nahal bridges cultural divides, empowering women to embrace their realities with confidence. It emphasizes acceptance, practical guidance, and community in addressing intimate life matters.
