KCR Dortmund e.V., known as Kommunikations Centrum Ruhr, serves as Germany's longest-standing queer center, fostering a welcoming space for LSBTIQ* individuals in Dortmund. Highlights include the Gay & Gray Treff for men over 40, featuring themed discussions on aging and relationships, and the Sonntags-Café with homemade cakes for relaxed Sundays. As the host for LEBEDO, a psychosocial counseling service funded by North Rhine-Westphalia, KCR provides expert guidance on identity, relationships, family planning, and transitions for queer people and their loved ones.
