Berghain and Panorama Bar share one building at Wriezener Bahnhof in Berlin-Friedrichshain — a former power plant whose industrial halls seem built for techno clubs. Downstairs, hard, driving techno dominates; upstairs in the Panorama Bar, house takes over, with clear sightlines down onto the floor below. The door counts among the strictest in the city: the door team alone decides who gets in, with no explanation and no appeal. Inside, photography is strictly banned — phone cameras get taped over at entry to keep the space protected. The club usually opens on weekends, often running non-stop into Monday morning. Internationally, it's treated as a reference point for techno culture and draws visitors from around the world, while staying deliberately low-key about it — barely any advertising, no photos, little marketing. The reputation carries itself.
