Malmö's fixed queer venue scene is small. Atemlos on Bergsgatan is the city's only stand-alone queer bar, an explicit safe space for LGBTQIA+ people. SLM Malmö, a members' club between Ellstorp and Katrinelund, caters to gay and fetish men with themed nights and its own cruising evenings on site.
A wider spread of dedicated gay bars, cafés or saunas is not documented for Malmö. Instead, RFSL Malmö, the local branch of the national organisation, runs discussion groups and a meeting point for trans and non-binary people, plus the SpAce project for asexual and aromantic people.
Once a year, Malmö Pride expands the offer considerably, with a parade, concerts, and extra parties across the city. The rest of the year, the scene stays modest, centred on Atemlos, SLM Malmö, and RFSL's work.
Visitors from abroad will find a small but clearly defined scene rather than a big-city spread of venues.
