Parque Arví is a sprawling ecological reserve covering over 16,000 hectares of protected forest on the eastern slopes of Medellín's Aburrá Valley. This biodiversity hotspot is home to more than 70 bird species, approximately 72 butterfly species, and at least 19 mammal species, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The park features more than 54 kilometers of well-maintained hiking trails that wind through diverse ecosystems, offering stunning panoramic views of Medellín and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can enjoy guided nature walks, birdwatching, cycling, horseback riding, and picnicking. Easily accessible via the Medellín Metrocable, the park includes several key attractions such as the Piedras Blancas Ecological Hotel, a vibrant artisan market, and the Ignacio Vélez Escobar Environmental and Cultural Centre.
